This job is an excellent opportunity for an accounts assistant to join a busy finance team in Andover. The candidate must be able to manage the ledgers within a FMCG company.
Reporting to the Financial Controller in a small finance team it is a varied accounting role and requires someone that has experience in a similar position.
Duties will include:
- Posting of nominal ledger journals and month end adjustments
- Posting of nominal ledger prepayment/accruals
- Reconciliation of cash books, bank accounts and supplier statements
- Reconcile petty cash transactions posting into nominal ledger
- Producing and running supplier statements of accounts
- Quarterly vat returns
- Stamping, coding and posting of supplier invoices
- Processing weekly bacs payments to suppliers and allocating payments
- Raise foreign payments to suppliers
- Process stock in
Candidates will have experience in the following areas:
- Experience in a varied accounting role covering ledgers and, ideally, with exposure to management accounts.
- Stock experience would be an advantage
- Sage
- MSoffice suite
- Strong communication skills, telephone and written
