Job Description

Principal Hardware Design Engineer, Hampshire Leading Electronics organisation require an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join their existing team. The role will involve hardware design of controllers and backplanes, verifying designs in the lab, as well as developing methods to improve the design process. The successful candidate will also be required to lead and mentor more junior engineers on assigned projects, write technical specifications, and to work closely with internal and external customers to ensure design feasibility and appropriate solutions are sourced from suppliers. Required Skills- * Experience of high speed design technologies * Experience of design processor systems, eg, Microcontroller, DRAM, Flash etc * Design for cost manufacture and test * Ability to travel overseas * Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability The ideal candidate will be Degree qualified or equivalent in an Electronics/Electrical discipline or similar, supported by proven industry experience in hardware design. Related industries include telecoms and data communications. Leadership experience would also be beneficial.
