Trainee Accountant
Paying £12-£15k (neg) dependent on qualification and experience to date. Benefits package includes full support and funding through AAT or ACCA including day release to attend college.
This is an unusually generous and rare opportunity for a school leaver or someone with some work experience to embark upon an accountancy career within this small, successful private firm of chartered accountants. Not only will you have exposure to, and gain experience in every aspect of the accountancy, audit and tax remit, but you will be given in-house training, support and the added bonus of sponsorship in order to study and gain an AAT or ACCA qualification. Career progression within this firm is a reality and the partners are proud of their ability to train and retain the expertise of those who have come in at the trainee level.
The role itself will include training and assistance with all aspects of general accountancy practice, inlcuding:-
• Bookkeeping
• Preparation of accounts
• VAT
• Personal Taxation
• Corporation Taxation
• Construction Industry Scheme
• Audit
• General administration - filing etc relating to the office and clients.
• Client correspondence - both written and oral.
• Telephone calls
• Marketing – assistance / involvement at various levels with marketing initiatives.
Those who apply must have an excellent grasp of Maths and English with an analytical and enquiring mind. Attention to detail is crucial, as will be discretion and excellent communication skills since very quickly you will be expected to demonstrate that you are confident in dealing with client calls and correspondence. The client range is diverse from large corporations to private individuals and this close-knit team of professionals are extremely client focused and recognised as experts in their particular fields.
