Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager

Assistant Manager Role My client is an independent Sports retailer specialising in fitness equipment and clothing, they are a constantly expanding business with a widely well know brand name within the fitness industry. The business currently had 2 very successful stores and will be potentially developing further in the future. As Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the day to day issues of the store, ranging from staffing issues to potential sales opportunities. You will be there to assist the manager in the ordering and developing of rota's etc The position will involve regular training in a variety of daily tasks with the aim to eventually develop within the company. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in fitness, with enthusiasm to talk to customers about equipment and clothing you will ideally be sales driven with enthusiasm to promote regular sales campaigns while understanding the target market. A background in bikes sales would be ideal to pass on to the customer and train the current employees to the best level of customer service. Ideal background for this position will be in sports equipment or clothing retail. If you have a keen interest in sports and fitness and also have a strong retail background this position will be suitable for you.
